Tragedy in the haredi community in Queens: Aharon Tapfer, 10, a student at Yeshiva Darchei Torah, was killed after one of his feet got tangled in a propeller of a boat.
The accident occurred on Friday around 14:20 pm, when Aharon z"l swam in the waters of Cedarhurst Yacht Club in Atlantic Beach, and one of his legs got tangled in a propeller of a boat. He suffered serious injuries and was trapped - until the rescue forces called to the scene rescued him from the water.
He was flown to the Hospital of St. John, where doctors fought for his life, but unfortunately he died on Shabbos.
Aharon's parents, are Tully and Rachel - who serves as a teacher of grade school girls at Yeshiva Darchei Torah.
The funeral left Sunday from Yeshiva Darchei Torah.
