This week there was another twist in the Bolivian affair, involving the haredi businessman Yaakov Estreicher.

Two out of fifteen officials who were arrested in the past, admitted this week on alleged charges by which they were partners in selling Estereicher's rice confiscated by the authorities in the country. The sale gave them a profit of $ 9,900.

The two pleaded guilty, believing that admission will shorten their jail sentences.

The Haredi businessman was arrested in 2011 on suspicion of money laundering after trying to save a rice field estimated by millions of dollars and got in trouble with the local mafia. He was jailed for 19 months in one of the most dangerous prisons in the country. With external interference he was released to house arrest in which he has been so far.

However, until a decision is rendered, Estereicher will be forced to stay in Bolivia.
